In 2016 Brewgooder set out with a simple mission: Use the power of craft beer to provide clean water for 1,000,000 people by donating 100% of their profits to clean water charities. In just their first two years of operation, they managed to donate £55,000 to projects such as the installation of a 5000L solar powered water tank in Malawi. Since then they have changed the lives of over 155,290 people and funded over 140 separate projects. They hope to reach their goal of reaching 1,000,000 people by 2025. On top of all this good work, they still manage to find the time to brew some exceptional beer, from the fruity Moyo Juice to the crisp Clear Water Lager.
FOUNDER: ALAN MAHON
Alan was inspired to start the business after contracting a waterborne illness from drinking water whilst volunteering in Nepal. After returning to the UK and visiting a doctor he quickly recovered, but the experience left its mark. He decided he could no longer continue in good conscience with the knowledge that someone back in Nepal wouldn’t have the same opportunities to recover as he had. Consequently, Brewgooder was born and its mission began!
