Low Alcohol Beer | Sustainable Brewery | Small Beer Brew Co

Back in the days of Shakespeare and Chaucer, low-alcohol beer was a public staple and a vital alternative to the filthy drinking water available. Since the 19th century, the provision of clean drinking water removed the necessity of these drinks, but Small Beer are on a mission to revive the lost art brewing delicious beer at ABVs below 2.8%. Delivering world class taste at a sociable strength, they have drastically cut the water requirement from 8-10 pints of water per pint of beer to 1.5 pints and saved 1.4 million litres of water so far. Other sustainable innovations such as sourcing 100% of their electricity from the wind, sun, and sea, and designing their recyclable packaging to be a space efficient as possible has seen them become London’s first brewery to be a certified B Corp in 2019.
